Full meals for the children of Cause Kitchen

Onwards from next week, children of Cause Kitchen will enjoy full meals.

Warm kichdi -- a savory porridge of lentils, rice, fresh vegetables, and aromatic seasoning -- during Gurgaon's cold winter months. Nutritious? Always. Delicious? Without fail :)

World Geography Class: Meet kids from other emerging economies -- Brazil, China, South Africa

To teach our children about life in other parts of the globe, they reviewed the continents of the world, major countries in each continent, and kids from some of these countries.

We projected a slide presentation on the wall. Thank you to one of our donors for lending the projector.

Our children met Maria in Brazil who lives in Rio and loves playing soccer and going to the beach on weekend, and Wei in China who lives in Shanghai and eats steamed momo buns for breakfast and plays ping pong table tennis, and Kopano of South Africa who lives in Johannesburg and drinks rooibos tea at breakfast and loves geography class.

The children of Cause Kitchen are very excited about their new learning centre, located in Chakkarpur village.  More snaps coming soon !!

And on a related note, after morning lesson is complete our older children will stay in the centre for further classes until 4PM.

Our children learned about the British Raj period, beginning from India's First War of Independence in 1857 to the rise of the Quit India Movement under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi which culminated in independence in 1947.
